We settled into a cozy
love seat and took a deep breath while enjoying the much-welcomed air
conditioning. My husband and I had finally stumbled upon a very British cafe
called the Brunch Club in Hong Kong on a hot and muggy
summer morning. We had set out that morning for a casual breakfast but it had
turned into a bit of a hike through the Mid-Level stairs of Hong Kong’s Central
district. Our rudimentary tourist maps and the densely populated streets made
it challenging to find this wonderful hole in the wall cafe.
Making muesli at home is
very easy and you can add your favorite flavor combinations. Muesli keeps well
in the pantry and packaged in a mason jar with a ribbon it would be a perfect
personalized gift. Below are the main ingredients and a list of options to mix
in your own blend. The oats are the only must-have ingredient. Make it just how
you like it!
Muesli Base – 6
servings
2 cups rolled oat
2 tablespoons cinnamon
¼ teaspoon salt
Mix-in ideas
½-1 cup dried fruit –

flax, pumpkin, sunflower, sesame, wheat germ

together to coat oats with cinnamon. Add desired mix-ins and stir to combine.
Store in an airtight container.
