Almost ten years as a
sailor in the U.S. Navy has carried me across oceans to the far corners of the
globe and has opened my eyes to the world of food. The kitchen is my workshop
where I can recreate flavors from my travels and create new ones to share with
friends and family. Most recently I have embarked on an exploration of vegan
cooking which has completely changed the way I build my plate and in the
process changed my body. My husband/personal bartender and I live in Hawaii
where he lovingly taste tests my kitchen creations. This blog chronicles all
things food in my seasoned and salty life.
